Established in 1991, Links Turf Layers (UK) has worked both locally and nationally as a sportsturf contractor  on golf courses, sports pitches, bowling greens and playing fields.

In the early and mid 1990s the majority of our work was sub-contracting to Golf Course construction companies across the U.K. As a team of five operatives we were contracted to prepare and turf golf green surrounds, golf tees and bunker faces.

We are CSCS (Construction Skills Certification Scheme) registered, and approved by Constructionline under the National Pre-Qualification Service (Reg No. 56344) for Landscape sports facilities and playgrounds (partnering), sports grounds (grass) and sports ground (grass) term contracts.

Clients included: Trent Lock Golf Club, Mendip Springs Golf Club, Transcontinental Golf (Jack Nicklaus Golf Services) at both the London Golf Club, Kent and Gainsborough Golf Club, Lincolnshire.

Our services now include full preparation, implementation and aftercare management for grass seeding and turf laying on all natural sports surfaces.

Specialist equipment owned & operated by us includes New Holland compact tractors, RotaDairon stone burying cultivators, specialist soil preparation and levelling equipment. Precision seeding machinery and big roll turf installation equipment allow us to cater for a customer’s individual  specification, timescale  and budget requirements.

Since the latter part of the 90’s there has been an increasing focus on improving community, club and school sports facilities. Many existing football, rugby and hockey pitches are either worn out, unsafe, or fail to achieve recognised sports turf  performance standards.

Extensive experience on a wide range of soil types and locations enables us to offer practical solutions , competitive rates and quality services to ALL.

As specialist contractors we always strive to exceed recognised industry standards and constantly review our equipment selection and materials specification to ensure optimum results. As Constructionline members we are CSCS registered, CHAS Accredited and STRI Trade subscribers.

We welcome enquiries from schools,  sports clubs & associations, Civil Engineering contractors, County and Town Councils. The Building Schools for the Future (BSF) programme is also an initiative we are currently involved with and keen to participate both locally and nationally.
